The DJI Mini 3 Pro is one of my favourite drones and probably the best Mini drone I have flown. It’s small, lightweight, comes with some fantastic features and has really set the standard for sub-250g drones. But a question that often arises for this drone is: Is the DJI Mini 3 Pro waterproof? The short answer is no; the DJI Mini 3 Pro is not waterproof. DJI has made it clear in the manual that users should not fly the Mini 3 Pro in the rain, snow, fog, mist, hail and high winds.
Drones that are classed as waterproof usually come with an IP (Ingress Protection) rating.
An IP rating is a standard used to measure how well electrical enclosures are sealed against dirt and liquid intrusion.. The rating typically consists of two numbers: the first number indicates protection against solid particles, while the second number indicates protection against liquids.
The DJI Mini 3 Pro, like many other consumer drones, does not come with an IP rating. This means that it’s not certified to withstand prolonged or significant water contact.
